How it Works
Each Hands On Gourmet event is custom-designed to create your perfect event based on your particular needs. We work with groups from 10 people to 100 or more, and can manage events any time of day, any day of the week. Here’s how it works….

Set the Scene
Hands On Gourmet is a completely mobile operation and can bring the party just about anywhere. Once we understand your event needs, we’ll work together to determine the perfect location. We offer our own event space and kitchen for up to 30 guests at our Potrero/Dogpatch location (watch a video of an event at our kitchen here.) We also work with over 50 different venues in the Bay Area including wineries with sweeping vistas, sunny locations overlooking the Bay and gleaming professional kitchens in the heart of the city. If you would rather we come to you, we’re happy to set up in a conference room or even your back parking lot.

Choose a Menu
We help you select the best menu for your group based on the number of guests, your desired experience and dietary considerations or special needs. Our innovative menus are designed to introduce guests to new techniques and seasonal, fresh foods. All menus may be customized or altered.

Customize Your Event
From pairing wine to arranging floral and decor to securing a meeting space for you group, H.O.G’s Client Concierge will ensure that all details are arranged. Need help brainstorming about creative ideas? We can do that too.

The Event
The majority of our events last about three hours and begin with casual mingling while guests gather, sip wine and nibble artisan cheese. After everyone has arrived, the hosts will do some introductions, and then we introduce our chefs and provide a brief orientation.
We will have prepared cooking stations for each dish, where all the ingredients are ready, and a chef is standing by to instruct and encourage. The cooking, which is very interactive and fun, lasts about one to one and a half hours. After that, the guests’ take their seats or mingle, and enjoy the feast they have created.
We manage all the clean-up.

Memories
We often hear that guests are laughing and talking about events for days and showing off their new culinary skills to family and friends. Each participant receives access to all Hands On Gourmet’s original recipes. In addition, we capture all the fun of your Hands On Gourmet cooking experience with our digital camera and share the photos with you.
