Summer Camp Terms & Conditions

1) Payment and Cancellation: Payment in full is required to secure space in each camp. For refund/cancellation policies, click here. Participants will not receive partial refunds if they are unable to attend all classes in the session. Reservations may be transferred to another camper.

2) Timeframe: Each class will begin and end on time and each camper is required to attend all sessions and stay for the entire period. Campers must have transportation arranged at the end of each day. Hands On Gourmet (HOG) staff are unable to accommodate early drop offs, after-care or arrange transport for campers.

3) Indemnification: Adult guardians ("the Client") shall be held liable and shall fully indemnify HOG and Food IQ, LLC ("the Company")  for any injury or damages to any of HOG’s personnel, employees, contractors, or property, while on the premises, in preparation for event, if such damage or injury is caused by child or guardian, employees, or any other party in attendance of event, whether invited or not.

The Company shall not be liable to the Client for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss, damage or illness sustained by the Client or child arising from any portion of the camp. The Client waives, releases, and forever discharges the Company from and against any and all claims, demands, action or causes of action for costs, expenses or damages to personal property or personal injury, illness, allergic reaction, or death, which may result from the child's participation in the camp.

The Client understands and admits that their child's participation in the camp is voluntary and assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages resulting from participation in the camp including responsibility for using reasonable judgment in all phases of participation of the camp and travel to and from the camp location. The Client recognizes and understands that the activities may be hazardous, that participation is solely at Client’s own risk.

4) Menu and Allergies: HOG provides menus consisting of high-quality and fresh ingredients. The menu items are seasonal, and some items may be substituted for others if there are better quality options available. HOG will make every effort to provide reasonable substitutions for items that present a possible allergy concern. Any guest with severe or life-threatening food allergies should avoid attending the camp as cross-contact with various allergenic substances is possible in a common kitchen. Campers with other dietary or religious restrictions should make their preferences known when booking the session. Most restrictions can be accommodated such as vegetarian, dairy-free, and kosher.

5) Outside Food/Drink: HOG will provide enough food and drink to ensure all campers eat a balanced meal and have the opportunity to take home leftovers. Guests should not need to bring anything to camp other than their positive attitude.

6) Parent/Guardian Attendance: Our camps are designed to give campers an opportunity to work and learn independently and with their peers. Therefore we ask adults to leave their campers under our care during class (if necessary there are many nearby shops/restaurants to spend a few hours). Adults are welcome to join us on Day 5 for the final hour of camp.
